Moms for milk
Moms For Milk is a non-profit organization specialized in breastfeeding & perinatal support. We support ALL families whether they breastfeed or not! Everyone is welcome to our activities. We offer a variety of services to support families in the community. The support moms are there to listen, offer support & accompany families who wish to breastfeed their child(ren). . We also offer prenatal classes, perinatal workshops & facilitate parent & baby groups. We help to break isolation during the prenatal & postpartum periods so that the breastfeeding & parenting experiences are more positive.
At La mère à boire-Moms For Milk, we're very comfortable with different languages! Our services and activities are often bilingual or offered in French, English or Spanish.
Our volunteers speak many different languages. If we can accommodate you, we will!
Our
misson
To promote breastfeeding, to welcome parents in their decision to breastfeed and to support them in their efforts.
To support families in their parental role, both in preparing to welcome newborns and during the first year of life and beyond, in an inclusive perspective.
To promote the interests of the family, particularly in the area served by Moms for Milk.
To support families in all areas related to perinatal care and breastfeeding.
We offer new parents support in their parental role, and help mothers avoid isolation during the pre- and postnatal periods, ensuring that their breastfeeding experience is highly positive. Furthermore, we strive to protect breastfeeding in our society by respecting the right to breastfeed and the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes.
Moms for Milk is a team of well trained and experienced IBCLC lactation consultants, perinatal workers (doulas) and volunteers.
Our interventions are based on versatility and active listening. We respect the values, opinions and beliefs of each mother who chooses to breastfeed, and this respect is at the core of each of our interactions.
Territories:
Our services cover Brossard, Saint-Lambert, Greenfield Park, and Le Moyne. We offer services in English and French, and some of our support moms also offer services in other languages.
